Diseases and Pests in Plants

Definition of  Plant Pests
Pests are all kinds of animals are harmful and disturbing plants being cultivated by man and not the wild plants that exist in nature. These animals can cause damage and then there are some animals that can cause certain diseases in plants. If classified the pest will be classified to several types.

 Among them are :

Type Molusca ; include snails , slugs , and the like .

Type Aves       ; such as birds , chicken ( if it is indeed disturbing / eating plants

Insects             ; are the most kind , eg grasshoppers , caterpillars , leafhoppers , beetles and others.

Mammal species ; rat is one of the main examples were encountered .

Well , of course, to overcome it in a proper way , ie WITH IPM , and it would be nice to use the pesticide plant / organic so that the future will not damage the soil structure and nutrient content in the soil .
The other way ( including in ways IPM ) is to utilize the predators ( natural enemies ) such as mice to the snake , then a bird to grasshoppers , and other perdator , of course, in the right time , he said , if the pre- fruiting plants / seeds then let the birds approaching but if we plant fruiting season or after exiting the grain ( for rice ) and if only endanger birds then use a method which could scare the birds attacked our crops .
To be remembered in the IPM method is to control the irregular , so we can anticipate what methods will be applied in dealing with these pests .
Understanding Plant Disease
While the disease is a condition that results in the plant can not grow normally , due to a disturbance in plant organs caused by microorganisms pengnggu , pests , viruses or soil conditions that lacked the elements that plants need .

Among the types of diseases

Wilt disease , the disease can affect any plant species , mostly caused by bacteria beberpa although there are other causes , see also the condition of the soil fertility . This wilt by plant traits are not yellowed yet fresh and fast on time and if left untreated will lead to death in plants .
Leaf blight ; may be identified with the edge of the leaf contained patches , the disease is usually caused by a fungus .
Late blight , the disease is also usually caused by a fungus , its features are raised spots appear on the leaves to look pucar , then causing rot on the leaves .
Tungro disease , this peyakit cause less fertile plants and stunted growth so that plants become stunted and unnatural , it is usually caused by a virus that is spread by leafhoppers .
And lastly we are also introduced to Mosaic disease , this disease usually attacks tobacco plants , which are also caused by a virus TMV ( Tobacco Mosaic Virus )
And in fact there are many more types of pests and diseases in plants other.
Well of all types of pests and diseases that exist , of course, I suggest to penanggualangannya is to use the method for Disease Control and integrated manner.
